Uno de los lugares m\u00e1s famosos es la antigua cantera, donde hace mucho tiempo se fabricaban pir\u00e1mides y estatuas. All\u00ed se puede ver un obelisco inacabado que se hizo con roca hace 3.500 a\u00f1os. Tambi\u00e9n hay algunas tumbas antiguas en las inmediaciones. Asu\u00e1n cuenta con numerosos museos que se pueden visitar. El Museo Nubio es un lugar magn\u00edfico para conocer la historia y la cultura de Nubia. Hay m\u00e1s de 5.000 cosas que ver en este museo y est\u00e1 muy bien organizado. Asu\u00e1n tambi\u00e9n es famosa por sus templos antiguos, como el Templo de Filae. Se encuentra en una isla y est\u00e1 dedicada a una diosa llamada Isis. Otro lugar popular para visitar es el complejo de templos de Abu Simbel.
