Tour Itinerary
Pickup Service
- Early in the morning, at an agreed time, our Marca Tours tour guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel in either Cairo or Giza and take you in an air-conditioned vehicle to commence your full-day tour.
Egyptian Museum of Antiquities
- Our first stop will be the Egyptian Museum where we will encounter a treasure trove of over 120,000 ancient Egyptian artifacts and antiquities. Here you will explore the vast collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including the treasures of Tutankhamun, the mummies, and various statues and artifacts from different periods of Egyptian history. Spend around 2-3 hours exploring the museum, but adjust the time according to your interest.
Coptic Cairo
- After that, you will proceed to a new era, Coptic Cairo, where you will visit three extraordinary sites, each brimming with historical and religious significance.
Hanging Church
- The first site is the iconic Hanging Church, which dates back to the 3rd Century AD and stands as a testament to the enduring faith of the Coptic Christians. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, this architectural marvel earned its name due to its location above the gatehouse of the ancient Roman fortress known as Babylon. Inside, the Hanging Church houses a collection of 110 Holy icons, meticulously depicting beautiful religious scenes that inspire awe and reverence.
Saint Sergius and Bacchus Churches
- Next, we will explore the enchanting Saint Sergius and Bacchus Church, believed to have been erected on the very spot where the holy family found respite at the end of their journey into Egypt.
Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra
- Finally, our journey through Coptic Cairo will lead us to the Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra. This synagogue gained its prominence when a remarkable discovery was made during the 19th century. Within its premises, a hidden Geniza, or store room, was found, containing an astonishing collection of abandoned Hebrew manuscripts. These manuscripts provide a glimpse into the rich heritage of the Jewish community, encompassing both secular and sacred texts.
Citadel of Saladin
- We will end our tour by exploring the citadel of Saladin, the magnificent fortress that offers panoramic views of Cairo. Visit the impressive Mohamed Ali Mosque (Alabaster Mosque) located within the Citadel. Admire the intricate architecture and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the mosque.

- Tipping is not included in any of our packages and leaves to the discretion of the travelers. Although not mandatory, it is of great importance to people who will take care of you while traveling.
